TOEFL
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is a globally recognized standardized exam designed to measure the English proficiency of non-native English speakers, particularly in academic settings. This exam assesses your university-level reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills, serving as a valuable resource for your application to an international university or institution.
Exam Sections and Number of Questions
The TOEFL iBT (internet-based) exam consists of four main sections, each lasting approximately two hours. Each section is scored on a 0-30 scale, resulting in a total score out of 120.
- Reading
Duration: 35 minutes
Number of Questions: 20
In this section, you'll read two academic articles and answer 10 questions about each article. Question types focus on identifying main ideas, identifying details, inferring word meaning, and making inferences.
- Listening

In this section, you'll be asked to listen to recordings of academic lectures and on-campus dialogues. Based on your notes, you'll answer questions about the content you've listened to.
